What We Believe » Worship A church that lives in worshipful devotion to God, and encourages participation in both corporate and personal worship as a lifestyle. A church where the supremacy of Jesus Christ in everything is essential.
» Word and Spirit
A church where God’s word is regularly taught and where the authority of the bible is final. A church whose members are baptised in the Holy Spirit and are encouraged to live in the life of the Spirit.
» Mission
A church that reaches out with the good news of Jesus through the spoken word, works of service and signs and wonders, whilst always respecting and valuing the dignity of others. Mission defines who we are rather than what we do.
» Discipleship
A church that grows and lives in the grace of God. A church that actively encourages the development of character and gifting, aiming to become more like Jesus Christ, acknowledging Him as Lord and not just Saviour. A church that actively seeks to equip and train its members for involvement in mission.
» Community life
A church that develops genuine friendships through home groups, in which they share the love of Christ with the one another and the world. A church that accepts and affirms one another through spiritual gifts, and is united in spirit regardless of age, culture or status.
A church that has a generous heart, giving freely of time, love and money.
» Empowered service
A church that lives naturally in God’s power, freely expressing the gifts of the Holy Spirit, filled with power to serve the church and be a witness to the life, death, resurrection and ascension of the Lord Jesus Christ.
» Prayer
A church that understands the importance of, and participates in, corporate and personal prayer.
» Interdependent not independent
A church that recognises we can do more together than we can alone, relating well to the ministries highlighted in Ephesians 4 (apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, teacher). A church that networks with the wider body of Christ by both receiving and giving resources for mutual benefit and growth.
» Leadership
A church that is governed by elders and a wider leadership team, called by God to oversee, care for and guide the church according to the will of God.
